Tiya Miles, Winner of the 20th Annual Frederick Douglass Book Prize

Congratulations to Tiya Miles, 1991 Recipient, Harvard College, who was awarded the 20th Annual Frederick Douglass Book Prize for her work ‘The Dawn of Detroit: A Chronicle of Slavery and Freedom in the City of Straits’.  A 2011 recipient of a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, Tiya is currently a Professor of History and Radcliffe Alumnae Professor at The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.  Read more about Tiya.
